Hike to Elgsethytta

We’re happy to invite you for a hike to Elgsethytta in Bymarka!

Elgsethytta is a cozy staffed cabin that serves dinner on weekdays.

On Thursdays they’re open until 20:00 and serve their popular all-you-can-eat Taco buffet for 240 NOK, coffee/tea after dinner included. 

The taco buffet has a good selection of fillings, so there’s something for both vegetarians and meat lovers alike here!

NB: this event has been postponed from late June, as we received several cancellations due to bad weather then.

Note that the hike on Thursday 24th August will be held regardless of weather conditions this time. 

We’ll arrange transport from the main bus stop in Kongens gate 32 in the city centre at 17:00.

We will drive to Henriksåsen Parkering, from where there is an approx. 4 km hike to the Elgsethytta cabin. The hike should take approx. 50 minutes one way.

The trail to the cabin is neither too steep or difficult, so it is also doable for children/families.
