About the event
In conjunction with the three-week reopening celebration in Trondheim, many museums will have free entrance on Saturdays and Sundays.
We would like to take this opportunity and invite you and your family for a meet up at Sverresborg Folkemuseum! Here you will find a rich history of life and folklore in Trøndelag in older times. You can see castle ruins from the 10th century and visit cosy wooden houses dating back to the 17th and 18th century. There are also lots of activities for children such as fairy tales, horseback riding, arts & crafts and much more.
The museum is an open air museum meaning we will spend a lot of time outdoors. It is therefore important to dress appropriately according to the weather. The museum also has a cafeteria where you can get food, snacks and something warm to drink.
To get there you can take bus line 11 to the bus stop ‘Trøndelag Folkemuseum’, which is right next to the entrance.
