Celebrating 17th of May With Onboard Norway!

We would like to invite you for a celebration of the Norwegian Constitution Day on the 17th of May!

After two years of not being able to host due to the pandemic, we are very much looking forward to inviting our members back for a great celebration of what Norwegians call their National Day.

If you haven’t been here yet, our offices are ideally located in the city centre with a huge balcony overlooking the Nordre gate where the parades pass by. We would thus like to invite everyone to join us for the jolliest day of the year in the Norwegian calendar!

We will open our office at 10:00 and keep open until approximately 15:00, so you can feel free to drop in whenever you like to. The city centre is generally packed on the 17th May and there are mainly two events going on: the children's parade starting at 10:00 and the citizens parade starting at 13:00. So if you arrive a little later, ie. around 13:00, please note that it might be very crowded.

Many Norwegians like to dress up in the traditional garment called ‘Bunad. Those who do not have one typically dress up in a suit or a nice dress, so nice and formal attire should be worn on this day. That being said, we do not have a dress code and will of course accept you as you are at our office.

We will also serve some refreshments, sausages and ice-cream – especially popular for the kids on this day.
